Boy Inside the Man- is really about the
author's own youngest son. Join with me as my wife and I received
out first danger call from Iraq after our sons convoy was hit by
insurgent fire just south of Baghdad. The Boy Inside the Man now
appears in print in the anthology, Hidden in the Hymns. (added August

For
the Joy
- imagine a book so terrifying that a man waits a lifetime before
he even dares open it. Abdul al-Jabbaar's mother died because of
that book when he was a boy. Now, as an aging man he finds the courage
to discover what she so gladly died for. (Added October 2007)
The
Magic Board-
tells the story of a boy named Raymond. Raymond sees things in a
way far differently than the rest of us. And he helps us to see
ourselvesas well. The Magic Board is the seed for a future novel
tentatively titled The Source. (Added August 2007)
